Hair Drug Test – Cocaine
Hair detection offers unique advantages in drug testing. Hair can provide long-term medication information that is not available in other biological samples such as blood and urine. Hair samples are easy to take, carry, and store for extended periods. The slow metabolism of drugs in hair ensures long-lasting evidence, enhancing the effectiveness of drug analysis.
Cocaine is a potent central nervous system stimulant and a local anaesthetic. Initially, it induces extreme energy and restlessness, gradually leading to tremors, over-sensitivity, and spasms. In large amounts, cocaine causes fever, unresponsiveness, difficulty breathing, and unconsciousness. Cocaine is often self-administered through nasal inhalation, intravenous injection, and free-base smoking.
